Oil On My Hands began with me becoming a mother simply trying to help her son.
Thirteen years ago, my son was born with eczema and extremely sensitive skin. He experienced irritation, intense itching, scabbing, and changes in his skin tone from repeated scratching and inflammation. As a mom, watching him struggle with his skin was heartbreaking. I knew I had to find a better way to care for him.
So, I started researching.
Through years of learning, experimenting, and developing formulas specifically with his skin needs in mind, I created a cream that became an important part of his skincare routine and helped soothe and nourish his skin.
What started in my kitchen and at home eventually became something much bigger.
My mother encouraged me to turn what I had created into a business—and Oil On My Hands was born.
From a Mother’s Solution to an Esthetician’s Expertise
As my passion for skincare grew, I wanted to understand the skin on a deeper level—not just as a mom, but as a professional.
In 2019, I became a licensed esthetician with a special interest in skin concerns such as eczema-prone, dry, sensitive, dull, and hyperpigmented skin.
Becoming an esthetician changed the way I formulated.
I learned that skincare isn’t one-size-fits-all. Every person’s skin is different, and what works beautifully for one person may not be right for another. That understanding continues to influence how I create every product at Oil On My Hands.
Today, I create esthetician-formulated face and body care using naturally sourced, fair-trade ingredients, thoughtfully selected to nourish, moisturize, and support the skin.
